Yamaha YAS-62 Alto Saxophone, First Series, Just Serviced
Yamaha YAS-62 alto saxophone. Here's a one-owner professional saxophone that just received a full service prior to sale. My repairman replaced six pads and eight key corks. He also regulated the rest of the pads, so it's currently playing very well from top to bottom. There is some dentwork that he performed, but the horn is now straight and playing very well. These are tremendous horns and one of the very best values in the marketplace for this price range.
Yamaha 62 saxes have gone through a number of changes over the years, and each version is a little different from the last. This is a first series horn, which shares many of the same playing characteristics as the better known "purple label" model. They tend to have more focus and precision than the later ones. All are great horns, but many players prefer the original 62 over the later models.
