Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone, Fresh Overhaul
1971 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, s/n 192135. Here's a great playing Mark VI that was just overhauled in 2024 by the previous owner prior to sale. The pads are still in new condition and seal perfectly. I had my tech service the sax, and it's playing perfectly now. The keys were a bit too low for my taste, so my tech raised the key height. This really opened up the horn, and it's now playing like a great Mark VI should. He also increased the spring tension, so the keys feel great and the action is snappy. The sax doesn't have its original coat of lacquer. The previous owner removed the left hand pinky articulating mechanism, so it feels more like a SBA than Mark VI here. The sax comes with a new Bam case which fits with the horn perfectly.
