Dave Guardala tenor saxophone. Here's a rare tenor saxophone that infrequently comes up for sale. It's a great playing saxophone which was made by B&S Saxophones in Germany. There is a Made in Germany stamp below the RH thumb hook.
The previous owner overhauled the saxophone in 2021 and it's seen very little playing time since then. The pads are still in new condition and the horn feels great from top to bottom. The outer lip of the bell got bent down which chipped the lacquer. The owner of the sax covered up the missing black lacquer with a permanent black marker, along with a few other spots that were scratched. If you look closely, you can see these areas are a slightly different color than the rest of the horn. All in all, my take is that it was a simple fix with good results!
This is a great sounding horn. The response is even and full and the ergonomics feel great. It's a shame that these are no longer being made, because I'm a huge fan after playing several examples.
