94,xxx Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone Original Lacquer, Fresh Overhaul
Here is a great playing original lacquer 5-digit Mark VI alto saxophone with a fresh overhaul. It was manufactured in 1961 and the s/n is 94,xxx. My tech used top of the line pads and fitted the horn with reusable brass Reso-Tech resonators, which give the sound a bit of extra sizzle and projection. The lacquer is original, and approximately 65% remains. The body feels extremely straight, and there are no dents at all and I don't see any signs of previous dent removal. The low C, Eb and Bb key guard feet look to have been resoldered in the past, but the work looks good and clean. The neck looks great and is original to the horn. This is an early long bow model, which tends to have a bit more depth and richness to the sound. The good ones are incredibly fun to play, and I'd definitely put this one in that category. The sax comes its original Selmer case, which is in good condition. As you can see, it's a pretty awesome case design!
