274,xxx Selmer Mark VII Tenor Saxophone, Original Lacquer, Just Serviced
Selmer Mark VII tenor saxophone, s/n 274242. This saxophone has its original coat of lacquer and approximately 90% remains. My repairman just serviced this sax, replacing one pad, 8 key corks and 4 felts. The pads are a mix of new and old, but are sealing well.
This is a great playing vintage Selmer saxophone. It has the tonal similarity to a good Mark VI, but with a bit of extra power and projection. If you're looking for a horn that can play jazz, rock and R&B equally well, I think this horn would be a fantastic candidate. These horns are such a great value in the marketplace. I suspect as more people discover or rediscover them, the price will only go up in price over time.
