1967 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 145877. The lacquer is original and 99%+ remains. The sax was just overhauled by Mike Livingston who does incredible repair work. The sax arrived with all original pads with the original screw-in plastic resonators. Mike was able to reuse the resonators for this overhaul.
Mark VI tenors from the 140's range are some of my favorite Mark VI's. They tend to possess an enchanting combination of tonal richness found in earlier vintages, but with some extra power and projection that is more common in later Mark VI's. With this vintage, you really get the best of both worlds. I think this horn can excel in a variety of styles from classical to jazz.
