1949 Selmer Super Balanced Action tenor saxophone, s/n 39994. This sax just received an overhaul from the previous owner and it has been played fewer than 10 times since the work was done. As such, the pads are still in new condition and have their full life left in them.
Sonically, this horn is everything you could ask for from an SBA. The sound is full and round from top to bottom. It's lush and dark, but in no way dull. It presents a complex and spread tone that is a delight to play and listen to.
