1947 Conn 6M Alto Saxophone, Rolled Tone Holes, Near Mint
Conn 6M alto saxophone, s/n 326390. This saxophone has its original lacquer with 99% plus remaining. There is a ding on the bottom bow, but otherwise, it's quite pristine for a 75+ year old horn. The pads appear to be all original and although they need to be serviced or replaced, I can comfortably play down to low Bb with them in as-is condition. Truly remarkable craftsmanship for a horn of this age! The rollers are all original mother of pearl. The neck has a double socket and microtuner that moves freely. The neck cork is compressed so will need to be replaced. This saxophone is being sold in as-is condition.
