1947 35,xxx Selmer Super Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone, Just Serviced
1947 35,xxx Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) tenor saxophone. Here's an early SBA tenor that just received a full service from my repairman prior to sale. He replaced a handful of springs, felts and key corks. The sax currently has an older set of pads with many of the original resonators still present. My tech regulated the sax and the pads are currently sealing well. Like most Selmers of this vinage, the lacquer is not original, but the engraving is still clear and crisp. The sax comes in a non-original rectangular case. The neck is original to the horn and has never been bent down. This is a great sounding horn. It has a beautiful sound that is both complex and lyrical.
