1936 272,xxx Conn 10M tenor saxophone. This sax was previously owned by Bill Fritz, a longtime member of the Stan Kenton Orchestra. It's an incredible playing prewar 10M, which plays effortlessly down to low Bb. The bottom end feels particularly locked in, and makes this horn a treat to play. The overall condition is excellent. My repairman just serviced the saxophone, replacing pads and corks as needed. The rest of the pads still have a lot of life left in them and are sealing great. I am not certain whether or not the sax has its original coat of lacquer. The color of the lacquer looks correct and the engraving is 100% present, but to be on the safe side, let's assume that the lacquer is not original. The sax comes in a vintage case that is not original, but serviceable.
